A-YUR-VEDA is a physician-led integrated medical clinic. The information you share with us — at booking, in consultation, when ordering from our shop, or when subscribing to our guides — is treated with the same care as any patient record. This page explains what we collect, why, and how it is protected. It applies to all of our online surfaces, including a-yur-veda.com and our shop.

Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to deliver our services and fulfil orders.
When you place an order through our shop, our checkout collects your name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number, and payment details. Payment information is processed by our payment provider and is never stored on our servers.
When you book a consultation, our scheduling platform collects your name, email address, and telephone number. No clinical information is collected at the point of booking.
Before your consultation, we send you a private link to our intake form. The health information you provide there — your history, symptoms, medications, and related detail — is transmitted over an encrypted connection, retrieved by the practice, and held as part of your clinical record. Your answers are saved as you go, so you may complete the form in more than one sitting.
When you subscribe to one of our guides or to the newsletter, we collect your name and email address.
When you visit this website, we automatically receive standard log information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring site) and cookie data, used to operate the site, prevent fraud, and understand traffic patterns.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Process and ship your orders, and to contact you about them
- Schedule consultations, send appointment reminders, and maintain your patient record
- Send the newsletter or guides you subscribed to
- Respond to your enquiries
- Improve our website and services
- Meet our legal, tax, and professional obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for purposes you have not consented to.
Health information
Information you provide on an intake form, and everything discussed or recorded during a consultation, is personal health information and is held to the standards required of any regulated healthcare practice in Ontario, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA). Your clinical record is maintained by the practice directly. It is accessed only by Dr. Arlini Singh and authorised clinic staff, and disclosed only with your written consent or where required by law.
Our scheduling platform holds your appointment details — name, contact information, and the date and time of your visit. It does not hold your clinical record.
Your health information is never shared with marketing platforms, advertising networks, or third parties outside the circle of care. The one exception is the online form provider described below, which holds your intake responses only until we retrieve them, processes them solely on our instructions, and never uses them for any purpose of its own.
Sharing your information
We share information only with the categories of service provider that make our practice possible. These currently include, but are not limited to:
- The online form provider that presents our intake form and holds your completed responses until they are retrieved into your clinical record
- The e-commerce platform that powers our shop, accepts payments, and stores customer order history
- The scheduling platform that holds appointment bookings and sends appointment reminders
- The website hosting and content platform that delivers our website pages, journal, and guides
- Email service providers that send newsletters, order receipts, appointment reminders, and other transactional messages
- Automation and integration services that move information between the platforms above
- Shipping carriers that deliver your orders
- Payment processors that handle your card transaction
Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy obligations and processes your information only on our instructions and only to perform the service we have contracted them for.
We do not name the specific commercial brands here so that this policy remains accurate as we change tools. You may write to info@a-yur-veda.com at any time for the current list of named providers.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Where your information is held
We are based in Ontario and your clinical record is maintained here in Canada.
Some of the service providers described above operate outside Canada, principally in the United States. This means certain information — your appointment details, your email address, your order history, and your completed intake responses — is transmitted to and stored on servers outside Canada, and may be subject to the laws of those countries, including lawful access by their authorities.
We select providers that offer appropriate contractual and technical safeguards, and we hold them to obligations consistent with Canadian privacy law. If you would like to know where a particular category of your information is held, write to us and we will tell you.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses cookies — small data files placed on your device — to keep your shopping cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or remarketing pixels.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to fulfil the purpose it was collected for and to meet our legal and tax obligations. Patient health records are retained for the period required by Ontario healthcare regulation. Completed intake responses are removed from the form platform once they have been retrieved into your clinical record. Order records are retained for at least seven years to meet Canada Revenue Agency requirements.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), and Ontario health privacy law (PHIPA) where applicable, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request a copy of that information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for non-essential uses (such as marketing)
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario

International visitors
We ship and consult worldwide. If you are visiting from outside Canada, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in Canada and the other jurisdictions named above, which may have data protection laws different from those of your home country. By using this website or our services, you consent to this transfer.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers and patients on our list.
