These Terms govern your use of the A-YUR-VEDA website and shop. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to them. Please read them; they are written to be plain, fair, and brief.

About A-YUR-VEDA
A-YUR-VEDA is the trade name of Dr. Arlini Singh's Ayurvedic practice in Burlington, Ontario, operating from 520 Guelph Line in formal clinical integration with Dr. Kishore Singh's family medicine practice at Appleby Medical Centre. Bookings are managed through Jane App and orders are fulfilled through Shopify. References to "we," "us," and "our" mean A-YUR-VEDA.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or open a customer account. By doing so, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
Orders and pricing
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes. Ontario residents are charged HST at the prevailing rate. Customers outside Canada may be subject to import duties and customs fees in their own jurisdiction; these are the responsibility of the customer.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order at our discretion, including where there is a pricing error, a product is no longer available, or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund the full amount.
A purchase contract is formed when we accept your order and dispatch your goods, not when you place the order or receive an automated confirmation email.
Products
The tools we sell — Padabhyanga foot massage wand, Mukhabhyanga gua sha, copper tongue scraper, and any future additions to the catalogue — are wellness instruments used in classical Ayurvedic self-care. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Please read the Medical Disclaimer for details on appropriate use, contraindications, and our position on health claims.
We make every effort to display product colours, materials, and dimensions accurately, but small variations are inherent in handcrafted objects and natural materials. Such variations are not defects.
Consultations
Consultation services (Comprehensive, Follow-Up, One-Time, Discovery Call, Report of Findings) are booked through Jane App and governed by the booking and cancellation policies displayed there. The $50 booking deposit is non-refundable and credited against your post-visit invoice. By booking, you accept Jane App's terms in addition to these.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, photography, illustrations, the A-YUR-VEDA name, the leaf-A symbol mark, page layouts, and the structure of our product descriptions — is the property of A-YUR-VEDA or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal use; you may not copy, republish, or use any of this content commercially without our written permission.
Acceptable use
When using this site you agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, or republish content for commercial purposes
- Reverse-engineer, deconstruct, or interfere with the operation of the site
- Submit false information at checkout, or use someone else's payment details without authorisation
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
Accounts
You may create two types of account in connection with our services: a customer account on our shop (for storing order history and shipping addresses), and a patient account on our booking and records platform (for managing your appointments, intake forms, and clinical records).
You are responsible for keeping the password to either account confidential and for any activity that takes place under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, please contact us at info@a-yur-veda.com immediately so we can secure it.
The information held in your patient account is personal health information and is governed by our Privacy Policy and by the privacy obligations of any regulated healthcare practice in Ontario.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, A-YUR-VEDA's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the site, our products, or your participation in a consultation is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Canadian law.
Third-party platforms
Our shop runs on Shopify; bookings run on Jane App; some content is hosted on Kajabi. Each of these platforms has its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the operation of those platforms beyond our own use of them.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, sitting in Halton Region.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in force.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
